While they’re steaming, cut out three circular templates that you will bend the staves around, two identical ones for the ends and a larger one for the middle, using the radii that you used for your calculations above (minus the thickness of the staves, since the forms will be on the inside and the radii above were to the outside face.) Aged perfection that takes years to achieve in 53 gallon barrels can be accomplished in a matter of days/weeks with charred oak sticks.
