Make Your Own Bluetooth Speaker With This DIY Kit

The DIY Bluetooth Speaker Kit from Furni comes with all the technical component parts you need-the design, then, is completely up to you. Mid-range with everything but the ugliest recordings was clean and perfect, this is where these speakers excel. I made a boom box backpack, I’ll post pics soon enough, sounds great so fa. This was my first soldering project BTW. Can I make a better speaker than them, maybe by luck but probably not in a lifetime or then I could win the lottery which is about the same odds!

I added the Maker Shed color organ kit (see my post earlier with the short youtube video). This lets you have unusual finishes on your speakers, though; any material you can use for a kitchen counter, for instance, you can use for a speaker. In my opinion, for your first build I would consider designs where you can contact the designer in case you have questions.

I have an abundance of scrap Fire extinguishers due to my work, and was thinking that these might make interesting speaker cabinets for my office to use during presentations. Speakers placed in ‘free space,’ a few feet or more from nearby walls, require additional circuitry to accomodate a physical reality called diffraction, which is when low frequency waves bend around the speaker. Since then, it’s been widely agreed that the Grande Utopia are among the best sounding home audio speakers in the world. Speaker City U.S.A has a complete line, including the McCauley professional line of woofers.

Big cabinet, big speakers, and big sound but with modern internals and Bluetooth capability. Really cool little kit with a pcb which you just solder everything to following the instructions, and it cost under £6! Whichever approach you take, you can be sure that you will be getting a sensational speaker system. I am still in awe of what these speakers can do. What started out as a pair of speakers destined for surround duty ended up as quite possibly my new front speakers.

Once your stuffing is complete, install the speakers, hook them up to your amp and listen to them. One more thing: these speakers would be powered by a standard home theater receiver, not some crazy external amp that i would build for the specific purpose of driving these speakers. Surely you wouldn’t colour those in – I think the ones I have got – on various models – look quite cool. Basically, you attach the chip, battery holder and switch onto an board, and then connect each speaker to the output nodes on the board using speaker wire. I’ve been considering scraping together $2000 to buy a decent set of front-speakers and slowly build up a 7.1 system.

If you were to build it as the plans call for, you would have about 1/2″ of wood to the sides of both woofers. Next, grab your phone and make sure Bluetooth is on. Follow the pairing instructions that came with your adapter. I always wanted to splurge and get a copy of this software for my speaker building hobby-this is the SW that Madisound uses for their custom crossover and speaker design services. You’ll also see a place for left and right audio out, and thats where the speakers connect.

Speaker builders never make one pair of great speakers, and while all of them have been individually granted Herbert Von Karajan’s ears, on his death bed no less, most of the speakers they make are products of other speaker builder’s ‘opinions’. The quoted specifications of the speakers Russell builds are real measured figures but the true test of these is sitting back and listening to your favourite track. But they do things that I’m increasingly finding it hard to live without – we’re talking fun factor again.

If you are competent as a woodworker and can wield a soldering iron (with acid-free silver solder, btw) then great you should definitely consider this as I think it would be quite hard NOT to save money on an equivalently performing commercial loudspeaker product – if one existed. All things considered (as they can handle a wide range of musical styles) I could be happy with these as my only speakers. The kit does not come with them and you may not find similar screws at Home Depot, at least not in black. The 260c has an efficiency of 92.5dB and the 360 range has an efficiency of 87.5dB ensuring these speakers can effortlessly produce sound you can feel!

So they’ll have to charge you for all the parts, for all the time it took to build everything (design, assembling, marketing, etc.), and add an amount for profits. A tip to building this filter circuit is to designate an area that will serve as a ground, and then wire this area to the ‘-‘ area. One note here – the Achilles Heel of metal drivers is a sharp break-up peak, in the case of the IPL driver at about 6 kHz.
