1,000 smiles | Artisan Bread | Olive Oil | Day 2
Smile. Day 2. Any bread lovers out there? No seriously? It’s not a joke, I could honestly live on bread alone…no butter even if it’s got a dab of salt in the dough. My best memories growing up involved the baking of homemade bread. It comes from my Father, he’s the baker and cook in the family. To this day, there is not a better perfume in the air that can compete with the scent of homemade bread baking in the oven. For awhile we were making it more consistently, but have to watch it – the calories add up! And lately time just seems speeding by now more than ever, the time to make bread is kinda scarce.
But sometimes the simplest things in life are the best and cheapest too! By surprise one afternoon, after locating a local new favorite foodie place called “Pane Bianco” downtown, we learn they have a to-go store option within the restaurant. Each day they bake this wonderful artisan bread in their trademark brick oven. The loaves are $3 each. (Smile.) They are beautiful little bundles of love, wrapped in paper and tied with string. The outside is crisp and the inside center bread is soft, chewy and savory. You don’t even need butter or Olive Oil, but it’s excellent with them! Hummus too. Mini sandwiches would be incredible.
I have never been more excited about a new find on bread! Especially bread I buy and I’m not baking at home, lol. It’s Non GMO, completely unprocessed and sooooo savory good! Quite a find for those of us gluten people straying away from the GMO stuff. For sure this treat makes your day even more special, maybe it’s the love that goes into it.
