1,000 Smiles | Day 18 | Truffle Pasta | Deborah Peters

Yep. Food again, lol! Every entree of a solid delectable dish gets a smiley post! I am a bread girl, not a pasta one. Nothing against pasta, it’s just never “wowed” me…I tend to adore the sauces that accompany it more. However, was I in for a surprise tonight down at Cibo’s. We were there for their pizza, as a local pizzeria in downtown Phoenix – Cibo’s has their own unique, savory crusts and sauces. But on Tuesday’s they have a special – and that special is built around the event of the Chef making homemade pasta. I had never indulged on that! Tonight’s treat was a truffle pasta dish. This indeed was a treat – I had also never tasted truffles – at least in this savory manner, lol.

So much flavor!! The texture was perfect and the pasta had a depth of layers for taste. It was rich; in fact, after one bite I basically was sold on it over the pizza – and I absolutely LOVE their pizza. I can’t really explain it beyond you just know when Chef’s LOVE what they do and it shows in their delectable creations of art. Smile #18 goes to Cibo’s home made pasta.
