Dogs. Smile. The Pack leader. Dogs

It never ceases to amaze me how much our pet companions, dogs teach us about life.

Human beings can learn much just from observing dogs. Meet my Father Inlaw, Keith. I remember the day we were visiting, it was shown to me exactly how much of a bond there was. It was a holiday and in the hustle of the day – I had forgotten about my dog in particular, (St. Bernard, Hercules) as well as the other two dogs – if they had been fed or not. We always feed him before we leave to visit our parents, but many hours had gone by.

My Mother Inlaw very pointedly looked at me and directly stated as fact: “Keith never forgets the dogs.”

Her expression told years of family companions, holidays, busy life – and even revealed that while maybe everyone else had lost track of time and forgotten to eat – the dogs were in no way ever “forgotten”, lol. And here as you see, the loyalty to the dogs has created a mutual bond between all four of them! If there’s ever a snack to be shared, an extra arm for petting, or someone to just “talk” to, (lol) Keith is the One. These pet dogs are always within 3-4 feet of him. They know where their bread is buttered! Dogs are so loyal; they give so much and truly don’t ask much in return. Dogs are always the first to greet you at the door and desire your company. They console if you’ve had a bad day without saying a word. You light up their world and in turn they lift you up. Today’s Smile #21 goes to Pet Dogs; the best of companions. Smile
