1,000 Smiles | Day 23 | Breakfast | Deborah Peters
Breakfast. Day 23 of one thousand smiles. This smile blog has been a real blessing because when you really think about it – it’s easier to find at least one reason to smile each day than not – and write about it. And it really puts your day in a bright mood when you document it. Today’s smile is a moment captured from a health summit a group of us friends all went out to; Beachbodies’. All week breakfast was the quick oatmeal from the Starbuck’s at the convention center. Or Shakeology shakes. I love this picture of my friend Clifton and I at the breakfast diner; “Let me take a picture of you while you’re taking a picture…” We hit this diner directly after the hardest workout I had experienced in my entire adult life, lol!
Yes, before any breakfast, we had a 90 minute torture with all Beachbody trainers taking the stage, all of us coaches attended this workout taking out the L.A. Live courtyard flowing over to the Staples center arena. Gluttons for punishment is what it was!
You didn’t want to stop and “break” when you were exhausted or you’d look like a wheenie in front of everyone. To be honest I’m just proud I got through it – lol. Completely spent and muscles screaming for mercy, the torture lasted from 7-8:30 am. Directly after and in need of “comfort food” we hit the most popular breakfast diner in town. You can always tell the best breakfast places because of the line wrapping around the entrance and down the street.
The funny smile here though is here we are in L.A. tuning into the health industry news for our lifestyle and also businesses – but what fun is all that if you cannot enjoy the local pancake breakfast diner around the corner?! LOL.
There are days for P90x-type breakfast no doubt but, really? One cannot truly enjoy indulgence without seeking out the top breakfast diner in town known for fluffy buttermilk pancakes, applewood bacon and real cream that comes with fresh brewed coffee. It’s why we workout, life was made for these moments – makes these times even more special. Fun morning, united in a great cause, but never forsaking the beauty of life’s truest treasures: Great Company, great Food, great time to be had by all. Smile.
