graduateGraduate. Day 27 of 1,000 Smiles. Graduate.

Every year the graduate celebration comes and each time it’s a different experience, isn’t it?

This time of year is flooded with these adventurous souls set free from High School to find their destiny out in the world! Seeing this graduate, which was the daughter of one of my dearest friends’ – Anita, reminded me how fast the years truly fly. It seemed just yesterday this young woman was just 8 years old, visiting her Mom for lunch back at the old animation studio, where we first met. Somehow that little girl has grown up and 9 years have vanished! Funny how life throws in these little moments that makes us all stop and just “be in the moment”. I thought about my own graduate experience and the recent ones’ I’ve attended in the family.

Remember what you felt on your graduate day? The world is a graduates’ oyster.

It is our own special moment where we stepped out into the unknown – and ready to challenge it head-on. Do you still feel those butterflies as you did then? Celebrating a graduate’s new journey is a great time to rekindle our own spark. Today’s smile post goes to our graduates, far and wide – I’m sure you’re no more than 3 degrees from one. It is also a post for your inner child with a dream ;)

Yes, it’s a good time to think back and refill with that fire all the hopes and dreams that you may have forgotten.

amazingly – I don’t feel many years passed high school but they sure have flown!
