Hello Kitty. Day 32 of 1000 smiles.

Hello Kitty!

Spotted this little cutie while out and about – it immediately transported me back to 1983. I was 7 years old and Hello Kitty was “it” for girls! An entire store in the mall was dedicated to the popular icon – all things happy with glitter could be found in that store. Glitter pens, erasers that smelled like strawberries….not to mention tons of coloring books and purses – all exciting things wrapped in the color pink!

 

 

Seeing this Hello Kitty car brought back a ton of memories – something so fun and playful about youth.

No real cares or worries….except maybe catching the ice cream truck before the familiar song disappeared down the street. Yeah, I’m not ashamed of Hello Kitty- she’s adorable – I’d drive this car today at 36!! It’d be a blast – would never lose the car in a parking lot, that’s for sure! I imagine one could never actually be in a bad mood either, greeted by this car each morning…unless you’re a Dude – that may be an issue! Today’s Hello Kitty Smiley Post goes to your childhood.
