1,000 Smiles | Day 36 | Gecko | Deborah Peters
He’s been coming back frequently so I thought I’d get a pic of this little gecko before he dashed away!
They’re very skittish so I had to move slowly and keep the flash off….not that I’d want it anyways cause those always come out weird on the iphone, at least. This gecko is hanging on my kitchen window screen! The light inside attracts bugs as his main diet so he’s enjoying a La Fresca right off my patio.
This gecko is my little buddy; though I have not named him yet.
I’m thinking Henry – what do you think of Henry?
Here in Arizona these geckos are only 4″-5″ long, tiny tiny. And then their tail is another 3″-4″ after that. Gecko’s are quite cute – in fact, I have a soft spot for all lizards – at least the ones that are small, don’t bite or wish to eat me, lol. Those are the exception. Think we’re safe on geckos. Enclosing a larger pic of a close up of his markings – these little geckos can be quite colorful. I love it – just one of the few instances where we see God’s artistic eye & paintbrush. Enjoy today’s Smiley post – Day 36 is dedicated to these fun little guys’ – Gecko’s!
