Ice Skating. It’s been at least 15 years, lol.

Nothing makes one feel young again than to go venture ice skating on skinny ice skates, at an ice skating rink – among children hockey players!

Actually, that made me feel like their parent in a way…hmmm.

The Ice Skating rink took me back to teenage years of roller skating…this was my 2nd time on the ice, it wasn’t bad! The “minis” skating around, however made you full of smiles. It started with spotting the little future hockey pro’s skating around the arena with their “training” slider! The slider looks like a mini hockey goalie’s net encompassing them around. They skate pushing it, something to hold for balance.

About 5 minutes of ice skating, and you see these 6 year old’s blazing by…pretty sure they were born at the ice skating rink…all for the love of Hockey.

 

 
Then a flash of a bright yellow jersey…an older girl that’s a hockey goalie and by “older” I mean she’s about 9…as I go skating by she’s practicing her “purpose slide falls”, lol! At one point it was revealed the little blazer in red and the yellow goalie were brother and sister…she’s older..but tempers flared and and he tried to pull her jersey over her head – just like the the pro’s do in Hockey, lol! Awesome.

Day 40 for the Smiley Post goes to Ice Skating and Young Hockey pro’s – all at a rink near you
