1,000 Smiles | Day 5 | Giggle | Go Away, lol
Smile – SMIRK!! LOL!!!!!!
This house is in my poor friend’s neighborhood, it’s hysterical!!
I’ve never put this on my door but I can certainly understand where they are coming from at times. Is that where we are now, afraid to answer our door because there’s a chance on the other side of it someone who does not know us – will interrupt our day and take our money. Right under our noses. Before we’ve even had a chance to digest what exactly happened. Funny as it sounds, I have a story within a story.
My dear friend who lives right down the street from the neighbors that have this sign- succumbed to a very convincing Jamaican man selling grout cleaner! LOL. Smile.
Slick skills and an accent to match, he caught her off guard while cleaning one day. Grout cleaner in hand, he simply bent down, sprayed her grout by the door, and within seconds a dark patch was solid cream beige again. Horrified, she bought all the stock he had on him! When I called later that day (which was just hours before a party she was throwing) she was exhausted, and on her 3rd room cleaning grout!! “What are you doing??!! Put the grout cleaner down, your house is fine!!”
Darn that Jamaican salesman!!! He was too good. I guess we can presume he had also visited the house featuring this pic, there is a mention there, lol.
I love the ending: “If you don’t know me, go away and have a great day!” Smile. Smiley. I’m sure that’s meant in the best possible way.
Going out on a limb here, but I don’t think they’re doing a Smiley blog, lol. But they sure gave us something to smile & laugh about today!
