1,000 smiles | Day 4 | Outdoor Contessa
Outdoor Contessa. Smile. There is something very special about being outdoors! Maybe it is because unless one happens to work outside for a living, many of us spend far too much time indoors, more often than not – in front of a computer. Not that I’m complaining – because I get to share so much, lol! However, for sure, those times outside sure make the day that much more delightful.
Now take that time outside and feel the perfect temperature, and a light wind rustling through the trees. The sun slowly disappears into the dusk. A warm glow from the lights surrounding us on the dining patio bring a festive ambiance, coupled with the candle lit on the table. It is the perfect evening to be outside, dining outside. A nice glass of wine and a divine selection of entrees complete the evening. And that beautiful dessert dish on the table, is outstanding! It is a dessert crepe filled with seasonal fruit and topped with homemade whipped creme! This particular restaurant has become a favorite, it is a restored rancher’s house in the historical district:
“Set in a restored 1913 bungalow, Cibo (pronounced “CHEE-boh”) has hardwood floors, exposed brick, a stained-glass panel and a fireplace to set the mood while revitalizing the downtown Phoenix area with beautiful salads, antipasto, artisanal pizzas and housemade fresh pasta.”
Beautiful place, lovely food, a Friday night unwinding from a hard week at work. The whole evening is an experience of smile after smile.
