Is Seacret a Pyramid?

This answer comes in 2 segments.

The Seacret Direct skincare company started in kiosks in the malls and turned into a global powerhouse – today the company has achieved over $800 million in sales, and is in 36 countries. The strength in Seacret Direct is their product, the product is the star.

The core structure behind the Seacret company is family and community, which includes all the smiling faces you see behind the kiosks. Because it is hard work and 12 hour+ days, those working the Seacret kiosks were/are rewarded with the highest possible financial reward. After product costs and business expense, the commission structure is generous – because to the Founders, there’d be no success were it not for their people, making such sacrifices for the success and sales of the Seacret Skin product. About 600 families are responsible for it’s existence, since we all cannot go to the Dead Sea ourselves, and get the benefits.

Seacret Direct recently came to a fork in the road in regards to expansion. The dead sea skin products are now more popular than ever before and the time came to consider stores, such as Sephoria.

However, building Seacret stores would mean more expense, advertising and celebrity endorsement to get traffic in the store – whereas the kiosks are sitting in traffic, with reps able to demonstrate the products. If the conversion went to stores, tons of expense would increase, product demonstration in front of people would be eliminated. The Seacret product is the star, the people are the marketing…both would suffer. Commission structures would decrease to absorb extra expenses – and that was not acceptable to the Owners…because the people and community are their pride, joy and community. The people are family, and extended family.

What to do? That is when the idea of Referral Marketing came to Seacret.

Truth be told, the Owners/Founders of Seacret Direct were not in the market for it. In fact, Seacret was dead set against the idea of Network Marketing. Why?

Because they had heard all the bad press about it as you and I at least 1, if not many times. Like many things, a few bad apples can ruin an entire reputation or business. Enjoy this video on Seacret’s Founder, Izhak’s reaction below!

So now you understand the care and reasons behind why Network Marketing being the answer for the ultimate transition for the next stages of Seacret Direct.

Network Marketing puts the product and sincerity of sharing Seacret at the forefront, keeps commissions generous, along with a very competitive compensation plan as well.

Now you know Seacret is a company with ethics of the highest standard. Very wonderful to be part of such a community, where the Owners have your back and are here for the long haul, wherever your dreams take you within it.

SeacretWhat is a Pyramid? Looking to the left, this is Robert Kiyosaki’s business quadrant. Investor. This is where your business works for you. Investor comes with putting some money down, but here the business works for you, unlike our 3 above models – where you work for it.

Network marketing is one form of Investor;

the model’s strength lies in residual, passive income that keeps your hands free and out of your business, due to the fact that many hands are involved for it’s success. It’s duplicatable – priority #1 for any profitable business.Seacret

Now, that said,

let’s be real about the facts regarding network marketing, pyramid, and the potential to be earning a 7 figure annual salary in it.

First, you may be asking: “What is a Pyramid Scheme?” A Pyramid scheme is any company that doesn’t have an actual product it is selling. There are lots of pyramid businesses out there, but without an actual product – they are a pyramid scheme. Now that we’ve answered that, many people dived into network marketing, have had bad experiences and walk away believing they’ve been involved with a pyramid scheme. They may have been promised things simply not possible, such as earning an income of millions. You may know this, but if not, read carefully and take it to heart. There are only 3 ways to be earning that kind of income in network marketing, if the company they or possibly yourself either now or in the past did not fall into the these 3 categories below, someone was definitely not forthright with you. Here they are:

1) First Mover’s Position.
Yep, when it’s brand new. The company has to be in it’s infancy – with only 30,000 distributors or less.

2) You introduce the network company into a country. Again, this is like the first mover’s position but oftentimes this takes place outside of the U.S.

3) You came from an existing organization and brought your people into a different network company.

If you are in network marketing right now, does it fall into at least 1 of these 3 categories? Myself, along with many colleagues, have learned the hard way, the truth about network marketing. The first mover’s position only comes along once in a lifetime.

Is part of any employee’s ability to profit from working for this company related to selling the “opportunity” to work for the company? Put more simply: Are Seacret distributors also encouraged to act as recruiters? Put MOST simply: Does this company have “distributors” instead of employees? If the answer to any of those questions is, “Yes”, then this company IS a pyramid scheme. Don’t EVER trust a “distributor” for one of these companies to tell you the truth. NOT. EVER.

      John,
You are absolutely incorrect and instead of deleting your comment, I’m going to use it to edify not only you, but others. First, Seacret is a company with Owners, Ceo’s and Employees. It has been running for the past decade as a brick and mortar business through kiosks worldwide. In May 2011, they launched their brand-new direct sales network. None of Seacret’s “Employees” are in SeacretDirect, it is a conflict of interest and not in compliance, period. As with all direct sales companies, there are Distributors called Seacret Agents. The business structure is built around sales through customers and agents combined. Take this time to educate yourself, a “pyramid scheme” is a business model built around no product. These were very popular in the 70′s and were actually shut down by our government, which continues to shut down companies attempting to do it today. This is what happened to Zeek Rewards, a business model built around penny auctions on the net – they didn’t have actual products that were being bought and sold, only the auction itself.

Unfortunately, network marketing has been given a tarnished reputation because as in most cases, the message was ruined by the messenger. The business model itself is one where the sponsor is only rewarded by helping you build your business. If you’ve been burned or know someone who has, it was a no win situation, period – and that sponsor knew nothing about building success.

I’m sorry but this article is filled with BS and is obviously Seacret endorsed. There are several reasons why network-marketing schemes are illegal in countries throughout the world. If Seacret really was a great product they would never jeopardize the product’s reputation by doing something that is even questionable like their pyramid scheme. Make sense? This should be common knowledge. The fact that the company has to try to fill Google with results that endorse their sketchy business-model is warning sign enough.

This is my personal blog and I’m letting you comment as you are because I can diffuse it.

      you’re Wrong…
Pyramid schemes involve companies that are in business with no product at all. The US government cracked down on this back in the 70′s. You have Amway to thank that pyramid schemes are illegal.

The latest one, Zeek rewards – a company whose revenues were built around penny auctions, not a viable product, just went under taking thousands with it.

Seacret Reputation? Their company is growing by the month. The company isn’t “filling” any Google results, that’s me as an online marketer, lol! You should take this time to learn about first mover’s position and business in general.

is seacret still in it’s “infancy”…another words, is it worth joining now or is it already too big??

        • DeborahAPeters

No, definitely still in it’s infancy and translates across so much – solid business platform.

  • nikk wong

Just think about it. If Seacret actually had a viable product, why don’t they sell their product in sephora or another makeup related store? It would be much cheaper and wouldn’t jeopardize their product’s name the way the pyramid scheme does.

    • DeborahAPeters

The answer to your questions is right in the article and video…can you not read or listen? Viable product? They sell in kisoks around the world, 800 million worth. Pretty sure that counts as “viable”. As for next the step – they DID consider stores – it’s called overhead. Launching ins tores means huge advertising and celebrity endorsement. It’s clear you know nothing about business expense.

  • Pwnagetool.us

“Launching in stores means huge advertising and celebrity endorsement. It’s clear you know nothing about business expense.”
Its obvious you know nothing about bussiness. Launching in stores does NOT mean that. Seacret is a SCAM. They take your money and tell your what you want to hear. Talking about get rich this and that. BS. Why not just go sell the products from manuafacturers. Why go through this Seacret CRAP

    • Deborah

You still cannot spell the word “Business”.

You sound like your 14. Product launches involve heavy capital, both online and brick and mortar. No one takes anyone’s money. People don’t spend unless they want to spend.

Sell the products from the manufacturers? First, learn how businesses operate. Manufacturer’s produce, then the product is passed through another channel for SALES. You don’t purchase anything directly from a manufacturer – ever read a t-shirt label? As reps, Seacret products are sold wholesale. Get a grip. Not even sure why I’m taking the time here…

“Pyramid scheme is any company that doesn’t have an actual product it is selling.”
A pyramid scheme is company with a bs product , over hypeing it to everyone and charging people fat money to join, and the pyridmad chain goes on.
Dont waste your time. Start a bussiness, learn how to invest in stocks. something that has value.

    • Deborah

Wrong on all accounts. Learn how to spell the word “business” before giving advice.
