neuro associationsNeuro Associations. Tony Robbins. Jim Rohn. Leadership Development. Neuro Associations. What are neuro associations, exactly? They’re what drives us or prohibits us. You have probably found yourself in this position many, many times: You desire change in your life, personal and professional- but stand against a road block, or many for that matter! Getting started, they say is 1/2 the battle. Bull. Getting started is 100% of the battle.

Listening to self improvement audio, such as Tony Robbins, reveals that the obstacles you face come down to neuro associations.

Neuro associations are the experiences you tie to a particular experience or idea. They span the spectrum of the emotional rainbow: positive, negative, indifferent, etc.

How does this apply to new ventures you’re embarking on?

Well, research studies have shown us through these neuro associations that most people avoid change that could lead to great success because of fear.

Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of success – believe it or not. Why would someone fear success? More unknowns.

Tony shares with us that all you need to do is redefine those neuro associations. You have to change the way you view the new goal, associate it with positive reinforcement. What will achieving that goal/s bring? What state of mind would you be in if you succeeded? How would your life change? You want to redefine the outlook of moving towards that goal so all the positives outweigh the potential negatives. Only by doing this, redefining your neuro associations, will you move forward to take the actions you need to.

The mind is a powerful thing. You’ve heard knowledge is power. Not true, application of knowledge is power. The right application, where observing growth, and making changes where necessary – is power. Emotions truly do rule us; not facts or things – but the emotions tied to them. You all may not recall specific details – but you remember how you “felt” in certain memories and experiences. Now you simply need to spend some real downtime with yourself, visualizing the places you desire to go, how to get there.

Start by giving something you dread some positive neuro associations.

Lay out all the positives attributes and negatives….let your eyes and mind see how they don’t truly compare side by side!

Was this helpful to you? To your success-
