Why should others listen to you?

Marketing.

Attraction Marketing. So, you’re open for business! Whether this is internet marketing, network marketing, affiliate marketing or even social media marketing, etc. You have a product or service that you know is high value, now you just have to get others to see that and you’re on you’re way. Right? And so the journey begins….

Maybe this post isn’t for you, perhaps you’ve earned a background in marketing or sales and this is small potatoes, in a sense. Or, maybe you’re like so many, that have always dreamed of being their own boss and you’ve made that decision to do that very thing. But you lack the skill set regarding belly to belly sales and marketing.

Well, here’s the thing. You’re both in the right place. Even the most seasoned salesman/saleswomen can increase their bottom line through attraction marketing, along with the newb in this arena. There is no set place to start or finish, simply jump on the train and watch your business grow – not only grow – but grow long term. Here’s how:

First, have this inscription written on your mind when you talk to anyone: “What’s in it for them?” You goals and sales, quota of course are on your mind; but you must train your mind to forget that,

put your customer and client absolutely first when it comes to marketing.

In fact, so you don’t smell of “sales”, it’s ideal to begin your venture when you’re not desperate for cashflow, have some money on the side.

People can see truth and intention, believe and show you’re putting them first, in every situation. This quote rings true:

“People don’t care, until they know how much you care.”

I’m sure you’ve been approached, as I have, by many with a great business, or service to offer. The problem, and why I don’t do business with them today lay in the delivery of their message. I had an elevator pitch on me, and they didn’t know me from Adam, let alone if what they were offering could help me. They were only thinking of their gain. They also did most of the talking – problem #2.

Listen. Telling isn’t selling. We can’t know if our business is of interest or profit to someone if we’re unwilling to listen to them, find out their concerns, interest and reasons they may enjoy doing business with us. God gave us one mouth, and two ears.

This is the basic first steps of attraction marketing, taking a concern in others first, with a give first, receive later approach - makes you attractive.

Initially, what you’ll be “giving” is your ears, time and respect. From here, the proper foundation for your business is built.
