ABOUT MY TABLE SOFA DESIGN The challenge for my Sofa and Loveseat was to create a design that was capable of fulfilling most of the functional furniture requirements for a comfortable living space in a single stand alone piece of furniture. Eastlake, 1870-1890: This design style is named for Charles Locke Eastlake, who wrote a popular book in 1872 called Hints on Household Taste. It’s sunny and light without venturing into pastel territory — which would be an Arts and Crafts no-no.
