The Health Journey
Inner Geek coming out, I confess! Who doesn’t love comics anyhow? Wonder Woman has always been my childhood favorite. My superhero. That’s right, I used to wear a navy blue sweatshirt around my head (black wig) and jump off my bed (flying) pretending to be wonder woman in my imaginative wonder woman costume. A child of the 1980′s, I never missed an episode. Not only did she represent beauty, her character was woven in moral courage and bravery.
As I grew older I began scanning life for the real Wonder Women; did she/they exist? What makes “the superhero”? The first 2 forms that emerged were the beloved early Miss Olympia’s: Rachel McLish (brunette) and Cory Everson (blonde). Both were determined, strong and staring severe odds down. Female superheros in their own way. They were my role models from age 14 and responsible, with the help of my dad, for getting me involved with weights.
I did fairly well thru my teens till I hit a wall, Fibromyalgia, after a bad neck injury following a car accident at 18. The next phase of years and neglect in my diet and health I’d rather skip because it was wasted in denial, self pity and excuses. Maybe I had to go through that to take the turn I have now. We’re all ready on our own clock. So, the girl you see before you now, (34 yrs) has been shifting toward her ideals and motivations she had all along, a work in progress.
It’s become a lifestyle now, such positive changes the passed year – no comparison to the life I led before. I’m plugged in embracing life, each day is a mark towards becoming a better version of who I can be, what I can offer.
PS: OH - and I STILL LOVE playing dress up! But the costumes have sure improved, lol! Could this pass for royalty on Paradise Island? Mosaic wear art by Lorene Ireland.
How did I learn all this online stuff? Well I’m not a Geek, I had to learn how as well, lol! Here’s some insider steals from my mentors so you can be up and running today. Since it is the life blood of your online marketing, I recommend start with an economical offer that is very doable, and build from there-you can be crushing your business in days rather than years.
