1,000 Smiles | Pizza Love | Day 7 | Deborah Peters

1,000 Smiles | Pizza Love | Day 7 | Deborah Peters – Pizza. SMILE! Guys, I owe you a serious insight here; 7 days in and I’m talking about “food” again, lol! And it is in the bread family…yes. Any pizza lovers in the house? Here’s the thing, it’s one of the most simplest things to make and yet so many do it sooooo bad! Why??? Why does bad food sell at all?

1,000 Smiles | Pizza Love | Day 7 | Deborah Peters

Pizza always represented happy, great times in my house growing up. And Dad..gotta love him, he’d always do Chicago style pizza with thick crust, tons of cheese, lol. That pizza doesn’t fit into my health regime too often these days but I digress, that’s not the point. The entire point of this smile blog, is to cherish life’s wonderful moments and pizza – Done Correctly – made with LOVE is one of those highlights. This post is following right after my Outdoor Contessa post because this beautiful creation came from Cibo’s in Phoenix. It’s an extension of that amazing dining experience that night.

First off, right off – the sauce. The sauce flavors welcome you right into the home of Italy. It’s the kind of flavors that have to “settle” in for that refinement and perfection. Next, the wonderful mozzarella. Here’s an idea of the attention that goes into their dishes:

“Each pizza is hand-tossed, made to order and topped with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. We are proud to use only the best locally grown organic produce and Italian imported products. Please ask about our special(s) on Thursday. -Buon Appetito!”

Finally, the crust. Crust can make or break the experience….and divine crust goes unsurpassed. Beautiful, thin, rich, light. Crunchy in the body and soft and chewy at the ends….doesn’t get any better. Delectable flavor, and the texture – again – that dough was given time ahead (about a day) to naturally become the beautiful pizza full of air pockets and bubbles. Funny, the imperfection is truly the sign of perfection in this case :) Big Smile. If you’re in Phoenix, you gotta check them out. Cibo’s

And if you’re not, maybe it’s time to find a local pizzeria in your neighborhood!
